Mobifriends quiere posicionarse entre las páginas de dating y las redes sociales, además evolucionando el modelo hacia la movilidad y usando la comunicación anónima vía mensajes, chat y videomessenger.

Amenaza con ser un éxito empresarial. Mobifriends fue fundada en noviembre de 2005, con el propósito de crear un nuevo servicio a través de teléfonos móviles e Internet, donde los usuarios puedan buscar y contactar con gente con quienes compartir aficiones, intereses comunes o actividades, hacer nuevos amigos, encontrar pareja o quizás vivir una aventura. Se acabó la soledad y se inicia un negocio de colosales proporciones, si tiene éxito, claro. Aunque los tiempos no están para quedar con cualquiera, por lo que sus autores recomiendan no dar datos personales que puedan identificarte en la primera cita, te recomiendan quedar en sitios públicos la primera vez y comunicar a alguien de tu entera confianza que tienes una cita.
